The great leader of China, Zhou Enlai, once said, “Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is in a hurry.” Something like this happened. He entered politics in 1958 and was hanged in 1979. In this time, what happened is historic. Bhutto was a lawyer by profession.

When he started law practice, his senior said, there is a bail case, the case is difficult, just go and get a date. When he returned, the teacher asked him what had happened, to which he replied that he had been granted bail. He impressed Ayub Khan immensely in his first meeting.

When he started working as a junior minister, his first look was at an agreement with the United States called Atom for Peace, under which he sent many scientists to the United States to study nuclear science. Many of them later worked in Kahuta.

In a very short period of time, he established himself as a world leader. Some of his speeches are still part of the UN record. But his speech at the Islamic Summit Conference in Lahore in 1979 alerted the United States.

Bhutto’s four-year rule was full of controversy, but it was the culmination of his political acumen that he got his worst opponent to sign the 1973 constitution. Even before going to Shimla, he took the entire opposition into confidence. Thus, whenever Pakistan’s nuclear program is mentioned, it will be incomplete without Bhutto’s name. Maybe that’s what got him to the board.

His second life began on April 4, 1979, when he was on General Zia-ul-Haq’s nerves, not physically but politically. He could not finish it. First, he tried to break the party. They were used by some of the party’s central leaders, whose role during the trial was highly questionable, then through the worst violence in political history, thousands of political party members were imprisoned by military courts.

Once there was a conspiracy to get Bhutto out of jail but when he came to know about it, he refused. The incident later became known as the Libya Conspiracy Case because it also named Libyan Colonel Gaddafi and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. According to former Test cricketer Aftab Gul, who was once a jerk himself, “the whole plan was ready. When Bhutto was told to be ready, he forbade any kind of adventure and said, ‘I will die at the hands of history.’ I do not want ‘’An attempt was also made to get an NRO for Bhutto, which was once mentioned to me by the late former caretaker Prime Minister Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi in an interview. That the whole family be allowed to go out with certain conditions. He also gave assurances but when Bhutto found out, he expressed his displeasure. On April 4, 1979, he was hanged.

The PPP was broken up several times to overthrow it, first extending its rule through a referendum in 1984, then dividing the nation into linguistic, communal and sectarian divisions through non-partisan elections. Participated, the business families of Punjab were brought into politics through pressure and greed but the party did not end.

Eventually, the party itself took over. Thanks to reconciliation with resistance and finally expediency, today this party is confined to Sindh. In Lahore, where the PPP started on November 30, 1967, the party’s identity is now only lush Bilawal House, otherwise there are no candidates.

Surprisingly, on the issue of the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate recently, Azam Tarar objected that he was the lawyer of the accused in Benazir’s assassination. But efforts to bring Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for the name of Chief Minister. By the way, he was also made the Deputy Prime Minister that if all this had to be done after 2008, at least the pen which was given to the Chaudhrys by Justice Maulvi Mushtaq would have been taken back from him, which led to Bhutto’s execution. The butterfly was signed.

Brigadier SM Tirmizi wrote in his book “Profile of Intelligence” that during the Bhutto trial, he came across a leaflet that was sent to the US embassy from the United States, emphasizing the need to ensure execution. We are now at the point where the death warrant comes from the United States.

It is also part of history that the last attempt to save Bhutto’s life was made by Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan who wrote a 10-page letter to General Zia-ul-Haq in March 1979 asking why it was necessary to save him. In this regard, he also paid a secret visit to Turkey and met with the President.

How much we’ll mourn the loss of friends?

Let’s go head to head again this time!

Thanks for reading!
