Vatican City is the smallest country in the world. It shares 2 miles border with the Rome, Italy. Vatican City’s landmass is just 0.2 square miles which is 120 smaller than the Island of Manhattan. Its population as of 2019 is only 825 people. Vatican City is a headquarters to Roman Catholic Church. Pope lives here.

In the Vatican Museums, there are Roman Sculptures such as “Laocoön and His Sons.” Its capital city is the Vatican. Vatican was established in 1929. It is a spiritual center for 2.3 billion Christians in the world. It is the world’s smallest sovereign state both by size and population. Vatican City’s currency is Euro. It is a home to many famous churches, paintings, and sculptures which includes St. Peter’s Basilica and Michelangelo’s work in the Sistine Chapel.

Vatican City have their own passport, license plates, post office, flag, telephone system, and radio station. The Pope himself heads the state. Every year over 6 million tourists visit Vatican Museums. Vatican City though being the smallest state has great significance in the Christian world. It is a good choice to visit.
